How do i get an account in e-gold system?

What is a batch number?
The batch number is a number assigned by the e-gold system to each related group of transactions. The batch number appears on all e-gold Spend confirmations and appears as well in your e-gold account history. The same batch number appears in the respective account histories of both Spender and Recipient; therefore, the batch number is a useful reference when communicating about an e-gold Spend.
Can I open more than one e-gold account?
Yes, provided that you keep your account information valid and current and otherwise abide by the terms of the
e-gold Account User Agreement.

How do I get my money out of e-gold? Can you send it to someone else? Can you send it via wire transfer?

The e-gold system is designed to be absolutely free of any financial risk. There can be no debt or contingent liabilities associated with e-gold. For this reason, e-gold Ltd. does not possess any national currency of any nation and has no bank accounts. Thus, e-gold Ltd. is not able to offer currency exchange services.
Instead, a growing number of
independent exchange service around the world support exchange between various national currencies and e-gold, accepting remittances via credit card, bank wire, check, money order, Western Union, PayPal, eMoneyMail, and others.
Why does the value in my account keep changing?
The amount of e-metal in your account is accounted by weight. This amount will only change when a transaction is performed to or from your account, or a storage fee is assesed. You can view these transactions and the amount of e-metal credited/debited to your account using the History function of the e-gold Account Manager. The Balance function also shows an equivalent fiat currency value of your e-metal - this value
will fluctuate with changes in exchange rates.
What is a Turing number?
A Turing number is a randomly generated image that displays a series of digits. A user attempting to login to his or her account must be able to read back the digits and correctly echo them back to the e-gold website. The purpose of the Turing number is to prevent automated access to accounts.
For the visually impaired, an audible turing number is available which provides the same benefits of the turing number, except that it is presented audibly rather than visually.
What is my passphrase? What happens if I lose it? How do I recover a lost passphrase?
Your passphrase is the key that opens your account. Your passphrase is stored in our database in encrypted form, so that even we cannot learn it.
Never reveal your passphrase to anybody - not even to an employee of e-gold Ltd. or G&SR.
If you forget your passphrase, this may help you to remember:
- Your passphrase is at least six characters long
- Your passphrase contains both letters and digits.
- Capitalization matters.
